Water Safety Timeline

Enrich’s journey began in 1983 when they started supporting Pittsburgh-area hospitals in keeping their facilities safe and free of deadly waterborne pathogens through the use of Copper Silver Ionization equipment. They were quickly recognized as one of the most reliable and knowledgeable providers of Legionella prevention and water treatment experts. 

As Legionella outbreaks grew over the years, so did customer demand for effective water treatment technology and service. This led Enrich to innovate and offer a powerful and effective EPI Systems for Legionella growth prevention.  

1960 - NASA Copper Silver Ionization

NASA implements a modernCopper Silver Ionization system to purify potable water for its Apollo crews

1974 - Safe Drinking Water Act

The SDWA is passed, requiring all public, potable water operations to adhere to regulated health standards

1976 - First Documented Legionella Outbreak

The first Legionella outbreak occurs at a Philadelphia American Legion convention, resulting in 29 deaths.

1983 - Enrich is Founded

Neil Silverberg founds Enrich Products Inc. 

1997 - Enrich Begins Working with Copper Silver

Enrich begins the distribution of Copper Silver Ionization systems in the U.S.

2013 - EPI Copper Silver Launch

Enrich launches the EPI Copper Silver Ionization system, a US manufactured, state of the art, highly reliable Legionella control system.

2015 - 2017 Mandates & Guidelines

2018 - State of Legionella

In 2018, there have already been 4 major outbreaks, leading many organizations to adopt water management strategies & Legionella control systems.
